How Having a Pet Can Make You a Healthy Person
My favorite part about arriving home is the overwhelming love I am welcomed with by my three beautiful kitties. I knew that having them would be great because I’d always have someone there, but I’ve recently learned that they can benefit me in many other ways as well.
In one study done in 2011 involving 217 people, it was shown that pet owners showed a greater self-esteem, were less lonely, were more outgoing and physically fit, and portrayed a healthier relationship style than non-pet owners. Crazy right?
So next time you think that you need a person to fill that emotional void, think again. Pets can not only make a great companion, but also improve your happiness, well-being, and health.
